Section 6
Functions, Duties and Rights of the Fund
In addition to the functions, duties and rights written in other sections of this Act, the functions, duties and rights of the Fund shall be as follows:-
(a) To determine and implement policies related to the operation and management of the fund.
(b) To approve the annual and periodical program and budget of the fund and to arrange the necessary funds for the same.
(c) To construct, develop and expand the city and to conduct basic social services and income-generating projects in the city, to provide financial and technical support to the agencies related to city development.
(d) To prepare the economic and technical bases necessary for the construction, development, expansion and diversification of the city, to implement and conduct programs related to city development and to encourage the participation of agencies related to city development to the maximum extent in such programs.
(e) To provide necessary support for the training and training given to the employees working in the agencies related to urban development.
(f) To provide the necessary consultancy services in matters related to urban development to the agencies related to urban development.
(g) To monitor and supervise the projects and programs conducted by taking loans from the fund.
(h) To act according to the agreement made by the Government of Nepal with any foreign government or organization or international organization regarding funds.
(i) To invest the amount of the fund in the purchase of shares, debentures or any other type of bonds of any other organization established in accordance with the prevailing law so as not to conflict with the interests of the fund.
(j) To approve the plans and programs submitted to the fund.
(k) To conduct an annual audit of the fund.
(l) To submit the annual report of the fund's operations throughout the year and the audit report of each year to the Government of Nepal.
(D) To approve the organizational structure of the fund and to create the necessary posts accordingly.
(d) To do other necessary actions to achieve the purpose of the fund.
